WQB Mold Removal is a Martinsville, IL-based remediation company built around one idea: tell the customer the truth about what's in their walls, then fix it properly the first time.
Our field techs are equipped with negative-air machines, HEPA filtration units, and borescopes for checking inside wall cavities without tearing the whole thing open unnecessarily.
We carry full liability coverage on every Martinsville job, and our dispatchers can usually get a technician on-site the same day a call comes in.
Our approach starts with a moisture map of the whole affected area, because treating one wall while an adjacent cavity keeps feeding the problem just means a return visit six months later.
We also work directly with a network of Martinsville-area contractors when a job needs drywall replacement, plumbing repair, or roofing work after remediation is complete, so you're not left juggling three different companies.
Not every mold problem announces itself with a visible black patch on the ceiling.
A stale, damp smell that lingers even after cleaning usually means active growth somewhere behind drywall or under flooring. Candles and air fresheners might mask it for an afternoon, but the smell almost always returns by the next day.
Any Martinsville property with a prior roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding event is at higher risk if the drying wasn't done professionally. If a previous restoration job skipped moisture readings before closing the walls back up, hidden growth can sit undetected for months.
If symptoms clear up on vacation and come back the moment you're home in Martinsville, your indoor air quality deserves a look. A pattern of symptoms tied to one specific room in the house is often the strongest clue of all.
Green, black, or gray speckling around windows, vents, or baseboards is often just the visible tip of a larger colony. A quick photo sent to our office can sometimes help us gauge urgency before you even schedule a visit.
Every job starts with an inspection, not a guess, so the scope of work matches what's really growing behind your walls.
Active flooding and sewage backups get priority scheduling since the mold clock starts ticking almost immediately. Extraction equipment and industrial dehumidifiers go in immediately to slow the moisture before it ever has a chance to seed a new colony.
We isolate the affected area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of your Martinsville home during the work. Affected drywall, insulation, and carpet padding are bagged and removed according to protocol rather than just tossed loose in a truck bed.
Retail spaces, offices, and multi-unit buildings in Martinsville, IL often need remediation scheduled around business hours to limit disruption. We're comfortable working evenings or weekends on commercial jobs when that's what keeps a Martinsville business running without interruption.
Buying a Martinsville home? A pre-purchase mold inspection can catch problems a standard home inspection misses entirely. A written inspection report is available for real estate transactions, refinancing, or your own peace of mind about a Martinsville property.
Attic mold often traces back to poor roof ventilation or bathroom exhaust fans venting into the attic instead of outside. Encapsulation and sump correction can be bundled with the remediation itself so you're not paying for two separate visits.
Dehumidification recommendations and moisture monitoring can keep a treated space from becoming a repeat customer. Some Martinsville, IL clients set up an annual moisture check with us, especially in older homes with a history of basement dampness.
No surprises, no vague timelines — here's exactly what happens once you call +1-844-578-1604.
Tell our dispatcher what you're seeing and smelling, and we'll get a technician on the calendar, often same-day for Martinsville addresses. Photos texted ahead of time can help us prep faster.
We walk the property with a moisture meter and, when needed, take air or surface samples for lab analysis. You'll get a plain-language explanation of what we found before any decisions get made.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. Daily progress updates are available if you're not on-site during the work.
You'll get a written report you can keep for your records or share with an insurer. We'll also walk the space with you so nothing gets signed off without your input.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
We keep a dedicated crew covering Martinsville, IL so response times don't balloon during peak humidity season.
Every job includes documented before-and-after testing, not just a verbal assurance that "it's handled."
Our promise is simple: if the treated area shows regrowth tied to our workmanship within the warranty period, we return and correct it free of charge.
We also try to be upfront about what we can't fix on day one — if a Martinsville home has an underlying roof or plumbing issue causing repeat moisture intrusion, we'll say so plainly instead of quietly re-treating the same spot every year.
Word of mouth is still how most of our Martinsville, IL customers find us, which tells you something about how the last job usually goes.
We stand behind every remediation job with a written guarantee, not just a handshake, because your peace of mind matters as much as the finished work.

The questions we hear before nearly every job.
Most Martinsville calls get a technician on-site the same day, and active emergencies are prioritized ahead of routine inspections. If you're dealing with active water intrusion, mention that when you call so we can flag the job as urgent.
Yes — every job gets a flat-rate, itemized quote before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice at the end. If we discover additional damage once we open a wall, we'll stop and get your approval before doing any extra work or adding any cost.
Our on-call crew handles active flooding, sewage backups, and sudden mold discovery around the clock, including nights and weekends. Emergency visits include temporary containment to keep the problem from spreading while the full remediation plan is put together.
We collect air or surface samples and send them to an independent lab for species identification and spore-count analysis. We'll walk you through what the lab report actually means in plain terms, not just hand you a page of Latin names.
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the moisture, so we recommend calling your insurer, and we can supply documentation to support a claim. We're glad to speak directly with your adjuster if that helps move your Martinsville claim along faster.
Timeline depends on the square footage affected and whether structural materials need to be removed and replaced. Drying time after water extraction can add a day or two before remediation itself even starts, depending on how saturated the materials were.
Anyone with asthma or mold sensitivities may want to arrange alternate accommodations during larger jobs, and we'll advise based on scope. We'll always tell you honestly if we think you should stay elsewhere rather than downplay it to keep the job simpler on our end.
We recommend keeping children and pets away from the containment zone until the area passes clearance testing. Once we complete post-remediation testing and the numbers come back clean, the space is safe to use normally again.
Every job addresses the moisture source, not just the visible growth, because treating symptoms without fixing the cause almost guarantees regrowth. We'll also give you practical advice on ventilation, dehumidifier use, or grading changes that can help prevent a repeat issue in your Martinsville property.
Our dispatcher can walk you through what an initial visit includes when you call to schedule. Inspection availability sometimes shifts during peak humidity months when call volume runs higher across Martinsville, IL.
"Removal" implies eliminating all mold entirely, which isn't realistic since spores exist naturally everywhere, while "remediation" means returning spore levels to a normal, safe range. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
Surface cleaning with bleach may remove visible staining but rarely reaches spores embedded in porous materials like drywall or subfloor. Bleach also doesn't address whatever moisture condition allowed mold to grow in the first place, so the same spot often returns within weeks.
